Ford has created a Pop-Up Experience to showcase its 2017 Escape model.
Ford Motor Company and the popular experiential Pop-Up game Escape the Room are teaming up to create the largest game experience yet – the first-ever driveable game that will challenge participants to use the latest technology and features of the 2017 Ford Escape to figure out clues and solve puzzles in a way that’s never been done before.
Escape NYC: An Escape the Room Driving Experience takes place on June 23-26, 2016. This Pop-Up shows the experience economy trend putting a unique spin on the traditional test drive. At the landmark Moynihan Station, players will find themselves immersed in the task of escaping five rooms with a team of four players. An expansive, five-room play space prompts participants to find clues that will guide their journey using various technological tools available in the new Ford Escape, along with their own wit.
The narratives of the game is set in the summertime of New York as they navigate the quintessential path of going from humble beginnings to making it big in the film industry. This Pop-Up epitomises the feeling of New York that one usually has while being in the city. New York is a city of a real dichotomy: a sense of community and total anonymity. One has to drive the new car at as part of the escape. It is reported that the Ford Escape 2017 is the smartest car yet; the Ford Escape 2017 could practically park itself.
Players were sworn to secrecy to ensure the game was fresh for everyone and no one would have an advantage to the game. The Pop-Up Store takes place on June 23-26 at Moynihan Station. The game was opened to the public for four days. In the first 24 hours, more than 1,000 consumers signed up to play.
